Is anyone have any comments about the NFL role's in this? I am a bit surprised that there appears to be no media outlets openly discussing the NFL position. I understand the media is scared of the NFL backlash or whatever and rarely criticize Goodel but I will be interested to see what happens if Favre does or does not get suspended.
Maybe someone can clear this up for me. Does the NFL has issue with adultery, harrassment or what? It can't really be harrassment from what I gather, Jenn didn't complain to anyone and she isn't even the one who gave the stuff to Deadspin. Plus, its TWO years after the fact. What if Jenn come out and says they had a consentual affair, is adultery/leaked pics alone enough for a suspension?
Also, if Favre gets suspended, should the Jets also get sanctions against them because I assume part of the whole issue from the NFL's viewpoint is that the Jets enabled Favre.
I am also confused about the NFL's conduct policy. When Vince Young attacked someone in a strip club on camera, he didn't get suspended. Neither did Braylon Edwards for a DWI (I understand there is some kind of loophole because its "substance abuse" somehow in the CBA but he was also under probation at the time I think). Also, didn't Santonio Holmes send junk pics too?
Overall, I think this whole saga will be extremly interesting from the way the NFL walks the fine line between their strict conduct policy and taking it too far. Also it will be interesting the media reaction if there is a suspension or there isn't.
