Bedard is criticizing the packers for going for it on 4-1 rather than taking points on the road vs. a struggling offense.

Thoughts?

I agree with Bedard in this instance. Take points whenever you can get them.

IMO it was good call to go for it, just a terrible play call tho.

Sorry, you go for it on 4th and 1. How many times have you seen people criticize McCarthy for not being aggressive or "putting their foot on opponents throat" (even I have said it).

I liked the call to go for it but the two plays (3rd and 4th down) were terrible calls. We have a bruiser of a fullback in Kuhn that could have gotten in with 2 attempts IMO.

Go for it ALWAYS. On the next Redskins play CM was held in the endzone, which, had it been called, would have resulted in a safety. Sadly, McCarthy's decision to go for it on 4th down was the best he made all day.

I side with G-force, and for the same reasons. If he would have kicked, that would have led to some criticism as well.

In the press conference MM said he felt the defense was playing well which played into his decision. He only regrets not going to the play fake on 3rd down.

If you know youre going to go for it on 4th down you clearly spread it out on 3rd down and throw it

This is the best argument in favor of going for it that I've seen yet. That should have been a safety. I was saying kick it, but either way, this offense needs to get with the program. They should be scoring like 30 points against these types of teams.

I'm not sure why he didn't challenge either the Jordy play or the Kuhn play; both appeared to be TDs to me. Given his knack for being a little loose with the challenges, I thought for sure he'd challenge there. Maybe the prior criticism has gotten to him?
