EDIT - I see that Simpkins is activated. I liked what I saw out of him in the preseason, maybe he can come in and lift this defense a bit. That'd be quite the story.

Simpkins always looked really slow to me in preseason, I hope we don't get in such bad shape that he has to actually get on the field.

I highly doubt it. I've never seen him playing inside with the Packers and at BYU he played Defensive End

I fear the way the injury bug is hitting, we may be there.

Popp played LOLB in the 4-3 and was above average to good at times. I would imagine the two positions are at least somewhat similar.

Either way, I think he'll provide good depth. OLB will still be an issue though.
