I think Popp's Strength is pursuit,he is no pass rusher but he is a good tackler.He has a MLB frame as well IMO.

I don't think he is though. He's solid against the run but I have always thought him to be liability in coverage.

If Poppinga is on the field, it will be one more reason for opposing teams to go pass-happy. He's solid against the run but not very good in coverage. A decent backup, but he won't be mistaken for a starter.

If he continues to develop his game and pile sacks up at the rate of 7 per quarter season.. I might start doing the predator jig with him. ;)

The crap that drives me insane is guys doing their happy dance after a run of the mill play.. Barnett drove me nuts with his samurai nonsense after a tackle 3 yards past the LOS.

Poppinga is like a poor man's AJ Hawk.

He's a solid run stopper with no pass rush ability (any he showed in college is long gone) and pretty dire in coverage.

I wonder if Simpkins will take his spot at OLB or also will be thrown into the ILB mix.
