Hawk in Barnett position, will be a monster ... you've read it here first.

If I'm not mistaking, Hawks natural position is Barnett's position.

We will see Hawk at his best as of now.

Is losing Barnett a blow.. absolutely.

But is it the worst of the 3 season ending injuries in terms of impact on the roster. IMO, not even close.

One we still have Hawk, Bishop and Chillar should be back.. add to it that we have a ton more flexiblilty with Jones, Matthews, Poppinga on the roster.. not so sure that Zombo would be a fit inside due to youth and skill set.

IMO.. Burnett's injury to the defense is a ton more worrisome in terms of impact to it... that speaks more of depth and the unknown with Bigby.. not just his injury but his mindset after waiting til the close to ink his tender. Charlie and Martin could step up.. just a wild card.

I think the lack of a difference maker at running back is also more dire than Barnett..

Just to make this clear.. I am not trying to degrade Nick.. just we are much better set on the roster to deal with that injury verse the other losses.

BTW.. Bishop.. you have been saying you should be a starter in this league.. step up and make this worry disappear. And I am one of the biggest homers of this kid.. he will bring more impact plays in the box.. but he has to prove that there is more to his game than that.

I'm gonna jump on IronMan's pessimistic plane of joy and say ... we're screwed. We couldn't stop teams with those guys starting, now their backups are in?

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

The good thing is that its still early in the season. The little guys still have 12 games to live up to their potential.

(P.s. The bye week couldn't come soon enough)

Can't say that until our games end. For now, it doesn't look good... ugly wins, lots of injuries, but if you are 3-1 your season isn't over.

It will be a lot harder now, but we will still have a good season.

All I know is I will be searching back thru the threads from before the season started and how alot of people were saying we have such great depth at DL and LB. We had crap for depth then and we really have crap for depth now. But hey we have an excuse for losing when it starts and thats the injuries got us, not the gm or HC feeling they have plenty of depth and best players around.

We don't have to worry about who we will have to cut for Bigby and Harris to come back at this rate.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I don't think injuries should ever be named as an excuse. You need to be ready for injuries, and to do that you have to have quality depth. I don't think we're completely screwed at any one position on the field. But there are lots of small holes, that if we can't plug at least some of them, this thing could fall apart.

The season isn't over until it's over. We will still get to the playoffs.

Yes but if we couldn't stop them with those guys in, whats the point of keeping those guys in. We're better off seeing what the back-ups have because the starters are not very good.
