Really... I disagree.

1) Bill holds little attachment to players.. he strongly believes that he can replace any single player.

2) Past track record suggests that is has little tolerance for those that don't tow the party line.. Seymour, Thomas, Samuel.. all spoke out about contracts.. all found a new home or the street in a hurry.

3) The value of Moss outweigh a 3rd in terms of skills.. but Moss's trade value is devalued because he is a pain in the ass to deal with. But if your willing to deal with that aspect, then he is more talented than a 3rd round pick.

4) The Vikings are rolling all the dice into this season.. no doubt.. even though some apparently think that they are the only ones looks from a broad point.. but the Vikings have already made there bed past this season.. it only makes sense to roll those dice now and suffer later.

But from the Pats issue.. they are probably not going to keep Moss around past this season.. why deal with the headache. Dump him for a 3rd and move on. Plus they probably want to see Tate in action more.. with his speed he can stretch the field.

There was a reason Bill wanted to see his offense function without Moss production Monday night.. so no.. I disagree that I am underestimating how the Pats views this.. in my opinion in Bill's eyes.. this is an addition by subtraction for this season.

Plus didn't they get him for a 4th round pick? They somehow got 3 really good years out of him and got a 3rd round pick, lol, sounds like genius to me.

That organization is hands on better than any other organization. They are some how going to have won 3 SBs, made the playoffs every year except one and end up with 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 2 thirds and 2 fourth round picks. Unreal.

I read it as a sarcastic "Good" management.. IMO, the Vikings aren't a model of good management overall.. they are over budget revenue share dipping at every turn and have put their team in a poor position for the long haul.

They have put all the eggs in this seasons basket.. but they are swinging for the fences this season.

I don't think they are a very well run team.. but this deal makes sense.

That playing off the anyone pointing any criticism towards the non Lynch deal are just looking to bitch because they aren't looking at the "broad" scope. LOL.. but this much I guarantee.. if Moss tows the line.. he makes the Pats better on the field and they don't move him for a third.

But he keep yapping.. to the point of calling his own presser to whine about no contract past this season.. and they had enough and moved him.

That, IMO, is the straw the broke the camels back and made it a personal decision.

See.. I look at it this way.. which is greater.

1.The value of a 3rd round pick next season, where we have a ton already.

or

2.Moss's potential production this season, one in which the Pats defense will struggle at times, so they will have to outscore people at times.

I buy 2 over 1.

But Randy is a freaking headache... so piss on it.. deal him and take 1.

I noticed that too and found it quite interesting. Moss is nothing more than a gun for hire here and it's possible he'll be simply dumped at season's end. This might be the CC Sabathia deal of 2010.

The other way to look at it is keep Moss this year and let him walk in the offseaspon, get a 3rd round pick in the 2012 compensatory draft. Trade him now, get a 3rd round pick in the 2011 draft. Which is more valuable? I take the 2011 pick.

As for the defense struggling, it was the defense who carried the team against Miami.
