Wallmart for his kids birthday". Very good quote regarding how Ted Thompson goes about business here regarding the team and transactions. LOL

It is true.

How about this: Ted Thompson doesn't give a crap if the fans want him to sign every free agent that comes along to a multimillion dollar contract.

Not quite as catchy, but more to the point, I think.

...or "Ted Thompson saw what a complete bust and waste Haynesworth (or any redskins signing), Houshmandzadeh, David Boston, or Javon Walker were, thus is judicious with his FA transactions, siding with creating an environment that fosters a competitive environment amongst young, talented players who are still eager to prove their value and are willing to earn a contract."

Oh, and Ted isn't married, thus has no kids. Spends a little too much time in the office.

Hey it's the parade of the over-priced dipshits! NSD's sig says it best "Ice cold conservative." Ted Thompson may not be the flashyist GM in the league, but he gets the best results. Conservative...it must be an aquired taste.

LOL. It was just a quote, why do some of you take it so serious? Oh that's right we barely beat the Lions today.

Seriously, you could of had a field day last week with piss poor Special Teams, but waited too long.

For what it is worth, your quote describing Ted can be interpreted as follows: "shops at clearance racks" refers to him being extremely cheap, and "for his kids birthday" can only refer to his own players since (despite having no kids of his own) the players on this team are the direct fruits of Ted's labour.

Thompson signed / gave extensions to Tausher, Clifton, Collins, and Pickett that count for a total of 30.52 million against the cap this year. Unless Walmart decided to try and appeal to a much, much higher crowd, the above moves alone show that Ted clearly is not a penny pincher when it comes to his "own kids".

Learn to make more appropriate comparisons, and if you cannot do that then learn to be more explicit, you ass.
