The pass interference call on Chilar was absolute bullshit. He never once touched the WR until after he secured possession of the ball, as the replay clearly showed.

MassPackersFan said this game was rigged. It's hard not to feel this way.

Oh my god, are you kidding me, NSD, don't tell me your one of "those" fans. How was that rigged? They won because we killed ourselves. We deserved to lose, for example, look at my Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest post, those three plays had nothing to do with the refs.

We lost, oh well, but lets not blame the refs, please.

They're not going to commit that many penalties in each game. If you take away even four or five of those penalties, this game might have a different outcome.

Packers loss this game more than the Bears won this game. Chicago sat back and just watched the Packers mentally screw themselves.

Completely agree. But one thing you can count on every year, is for the Packers to play down to their competition, especially early in the year. So yeah, we're way better than this. Just like we were last year when we went 4-4. And the last 5 years in general.
But that's not a consolation. It's an even more disturbing realization.

Please stop with the senseless yammering about the running game. The running game (or lack thereof) was irrelevant to the outcome of this game. Had we had even a couple fewer penalties, the Packers would have won this game in a route. Penalties cost the Packers at least 10 to 14 points and were responsible for most of the Bears'. Even without the running game, there is no reason this game should have been close.

Penalties are the ONLY discussion here. Anybody focusing on ANYTHING else did not watch the same game I did.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

We beat ourselves with more than just penalties. We've played down to the competition for the third week in a row.

It's a close race for who overreacts most to the Packers' first loss of the season, but I believe you are in the lead. They beat Philly at Philly for the first time since 1962, and they beat the Bills 34-7. This was a horrible game for the Packers, no doubt about it, but it doesn't take anything away from the wins in the first two weeks.

Nonstop has a good point here. I'd like to see a little more balance in the run game (as we all would, I guess) but for both teams the run game was basically unnecessary. The Bears won the game tonight because we gave it to them.

The next question is whether or not this is necessarily a bad loss. No one is going undefeated in the NFC this year. A little adversity can be a good thing in football. It lets you know where your weaknesses are and helps coaches and players figure out where to work on fixing the problems that crop up. This loss is a reality check for the team and for fans.

Bring on the Lions.

After giving up 18 penalties, dropping INTs, fumbling the ball and having TDs and sacks wiped out we only got beat by 3 points?

Usually that collection of shite should lead to a blowout loss.

Stop beating ourselves and we probably win a bunch of games this season.

You know, the Packers were going to lose a game this season. They'll probably lose again. In fact, I guarantee they'll lose again.

It's escalated because it's the Bears and unfortunately people go nutz.

I thought it would be much closer than it should have been, but I thought we'd still win. I just don't think Mike McCarthy has got what it takes. Just don't think he's a leader.
