The pass interference call on Chilar was absolute bullshit. He never once touched the WR until after he secured possession of the ball, as the replay clearly showed.

MassPackersFan said this game was rigged. It's hard not to feel this way.

It's mighty revealing. TWO refs threw flags on a phantom PI call.

Completely agreed, Nonstopdrivel. We would've had around 1:10 or something with 1 or 2 timeouts. Trying to stop them does absolutely nothing but get you in that position where a fg wins it.

Let's hope the penalties were an aberration.

Really? Seriously? Did you type that with a straight face?

My hoping that 17 penalties won't be the norm ... there's something wrong with that?

I don't need a history lesson, either. I'm aware of LAST season's problems (and for that matter, the problems in '08 and '07).

Still, I hope penalty woes of that magnitude will be an aberration for this season.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

?? IronMan hopes the penalties are going to a normal part of each game, I guess. There's nothing like Packer fans turning against the team after one loss.

No. I am just making the point that the penalties are NOT an aberration. Have you watched this team the last 2 years? #penaltymachine

I didn't get a good look at the call against Chillar. All of the other penalties looked completely obvious, though, as far as I can remember. So I don't think the game was rigged unless the Packers lost on purpose.

I was hoping they'd throw the flag on Woodson's last INT. I didn't see a replay but I tohuhg he caught it, ran, fumbled, and recovered.

"millertime" wrote:

I agree. It was an INT IMO. But I believe Chicago recovered the ball on the field of play so it would've been Bears' football.

We beat ourselves with more than just penalties. We've played down to the competition for the third week in a row.

There's no getting around it. WE SUCKED the game away.I hope MM kicks our own asses all week.SHOULD have been an easy win.
We are better then they are, but self destructed at every turn.

millertime, I wanted to see a replay of that. I don't understand ESPN's coverage, they have so many shots in between plays of Cutler and Rodgers walking around instead of showing replays. I don't know if they do it just so we can hear more of Gruden talking about nothing.

That play, I'm pretty sure they didn't even show a replay of Woodson's attempted catch. How can you not at least show a replay (I stand to be corrected if they did).

Edit, I just rewatched it on PVR, they showed Woodson walking around instead of showing a replay of it. Unreal.

Plus the fumble early on which was called down by contact was a big chance for us to go up by more early if given the chance to recover it...
