1 minute with a timeout and the best QB in the league to run a drive..Or 8 seconds and hope one of the most accurate kickers of all time can't hit an EXTRA POINT.

I'm just completely and utterly dumbfounded.

I agree. Horrible clock management.

Mike McCarthy was a total pussy. He was afraid of being ridiculed by outraged fans and media hacks for letting the Bears score. He'd rather look noble saying he trusted our defense than using a strategy better calculated to put the ball in the hands of our playmakers.

Ted Thompson should fine McCarthy half a game check or more. He didn't earn it this week.

Maybe you missed the first half of last season. And every season for the last half decade.

The Packers SUCKED this game away.
18 penalties???
Giving up a TD before the half.....ST's letting us down AGAIN. Blocked field goal.........DUMB mistakes. HANDED the game to Chicago.

What really burns me up is ignoramuses will say that Chicago dominated the Packers, when precisely the opposite is true.

Yeah, let's blame McCarthy.

It's not like there were any games this week where FG kickers missed chip shots in the last few seconds...

Oh wait, there were. Justin Hartley, please stand up.

You have a QB that is cramping. You have your best playmaker in Finley cramping. You have your Tackles getting abused by one Julius Peppers.

And you expect Aaron to give you a reasonable shot at a TD? I just don't see how letting the Bears score would have given the Packers any more chance to win than what they already had (next to zero).

I want James Campen and Jerry Fontenot on the street no later than midnight tonight. I don't care if they have to hire a bunch of movers to toss their shit on the street. If someone happens to shoot Tauscher and Clifton in the face, I won't grieve too deeply either.

As for Mike McCarthy's decision to challenge that play . . . he deserves a one-game suspension for that stroke of brilliance alone.

I would have let them score.
It at least gives you a CHANCE to score and tie it.
Oh well.....it's over.

No worse than the alternative: starting at your own 25 with less than a minute and one timeout seeking a TD.

The Packers were behind the 8-ball the moment Jones fumbled.

With piss-poor challenging and clock management, we pretty much threw away any prayer of a win.

This, I think, is a serious problem. Three games in, and he seems to be calling very stupid challenges.

Slocum deserves credit for the improved ST performance in the first two games. But this game, we seemingly regressed beyond what our play was last year. I did not think that was possible.

AADP, I'd far rather have time on the clock and the ball in the hands of my playmakers than no time on the clock and on my knees praying for luck.

I don't know, I'm torn on letting them score because of that Saints/Falcons game, that was a chipshot too and he missed. So you never know on FGs. But overall, we wouldn't have had that whole decision if we didn't waste a f'n timeout on that challenge!

Starting at the 25 with FIFTY seconds to go..(It would have been a minute if they let them score on 1st and goal like it should have been done)..Is still MILES better than hoping Gould misses a freaking extra point.

He should of let them score. Plenty of time and a timeout to drive down the field. That would've been the right call.

With that said, Packers shouldn't of been put in position for that to happen.
