Fun video. It's interesting to see how much faster the league is now than it was in the 1960s. Also how much more fundamentally sound the tackling was.

I was surprised to see the games from that era in color -- complete with animated headings on the screens. That technology has been around a lot longer than I realized, and it didn't look all that much better on screen in 1980s games than it did in the 1960s. It apparently wasn't till the early 1990s that the quantum leaps in on-screen technology occurred.

Maybe tackling was better because it was easier to someone who was going slower? Think about that.

Lee got the penalty. Lee was ejected. Walter was "Sweetness" and could therefore do no wrong. 🤐

It really showed my how much perception shapes our point of view.
