All of Mike Martz's teams start the season awesome, then, they get figured out by defenses by midseason and play terrribly, and miss the playoffs...

So true. Teams with Mike Martz at the helm have never amassed three division titles, earned five playoff appearances, won two NFC Championships, appeared in two Super Bowls, or notched a Super Bowl ring. Mike Martz royally sucks.

I think one of the strongest characteristics Capers has brought to the organization is the ability to make in-game changes. I am not afraid of Mike Martz. I am fully confident in our ability to see what we are doing wrong, and make the necessary changes to win the game. If nothing else, McCarthy can scream at the team during half-time and we will come out of the gates with the full force we all know the Packers have.

He should scream at them before the game so they play with intensity for 60 minutes instead of 30.

Because being the mastermind behind "The Greatest Show on Turf" means he sucks. Really now?

I mean, if he goes into the wrong team, with personnel who can't pull off his system, then it's ugly, but the Bears have been nothing but dominant in their offense this season, so shrugging their offense off with "Martz sucks" isn't a good angle.

I have to admit that I thought this was going to be a disaster. Cutler having to blindly trust his receivers, which cost him at least 5 picks last season. A lot of deep routes, while their offensive line looked horrible. Barely any TE involvement, while that was the strength of the passing game....

And now that we've played a couple of games, Martz is actually playing to his strengths and weaknesses. Something I didn't see happening at all. It's still the same system, of course, but tweaked quite well for that Bears offense. It's pretty impressive.

I was thinking the same thing Rourke, that really sucks as a offensive cord. I hope I don't make posts like that anymore, I usually do my research before I make a statement like that.

What are secondary may not have figured out is the bunch and scatter techniques used against them by the Cardinals and Martz protoge Kurt Warner.

Line up 3 WR' in a bunch on one side, they convoy to the middle of the Packers defense then scatter.

They hope to get Shields or Burnett to go with an already covered receiver and leave another one open.

That play breaks up zone coverage or can by used to scrape a defender off in man to man.

I see them running that a few times right at Shields.
