This is why I hope the Packers don't Blitz too often. That TD pass to Olsen in the Cowboy game was set up by the other team blitzing. This is a game that will resemble the Arizona game from the playoffs. If we blitz it needs to be very sneaky, calculated and a big key play that goes unblocked and hopefully creates a fumble, because the Martz offense is designed to get the ball out quickly to a spot and we could easily see the hot read of a play sneak past our linebackers straight down the field for massive chunks of yards.

We got abused big time last year by Arizona. This is the game where we show the country that we can defend against these kind of formations and scheme. It is less about Cutler and more about the scheme and our pass defenders whomever they are, and that is what I am concerned about. If we do use the psycho defense to combat Martz, then I hope our linebackers are as focused and ready as humanly possible.

Yeah, I heard Cutler was like 1-11 on third downs. Just make them be consistent up and down the field. Don't let them beat you with big plays.

Seems like the main thing the Bears are doing is stretching out the field with 3 or 4 WRs and at least one of them going deep which with Hester and Knox they got very good deep speed.

And letting not working in their check it players (RB/TE) until the other team stop looking for them.

I'm not sure if Capers is into man to man but this is a case where I might try it some as a change up with a deep Safety, one CB on all WR (Collins can count as a CB at time) five guy rush switching which LBers come and switching which LBers cover the RBs / TEs as well...

Got to worry about Shields a bit in that but he's not done horriblely yet and maybe cheat the deep S over to his size a bit.

Didnt like that video..he was basically saying our D has no chance against the Bears offense...Look,ill give credit where credit is due...Martz and Cutler made the Bears offense so far look good...But the one thing i will hold against them is the fact they rack up yards more so then points (19 against the Lions)...Their offense relies on the big play in which any D can stop if they can generate a pass rush which we are #1 in the NFL...Im tired of hearing Bear fans saying they faced Ware ect...Well im sorry but so far this year,Ware is not on the same level of Matthews...Im pretty sure Capers wont blitz Cutler if the bears are in a formation made to get the ball out quickly...Capers is not that dumb to play to their strengths...i have 100% confidence that this Bears O is fraud...

To combat Martz I expect to see a lot of the Psycho defensive formation.

be a good match-up none the less; interesting about the cards playoff game from last year and their analysis. Be quite interesting if capers has learned anything from it and if we can stop a offense like that; cough the steelers and the cards and perhaps the viks (of last year).

One interesting stat of note I saw was that the bears only have allowed 28 YPG on rushing #1. While we have allowed 136 (ya I could care less about that since we have a better total defense.

From today's JSO article:

"He's going to spread you out, he's wide open," Capers said of Martz. "He's going to take a lot of shots down the field; they run a lot of deeper-breaking routes. He isn't afraid. He's going to throw the ball down the field and look for big plays."

And those deeper-breaking routes on deep drops by the quarterback are the exact weakness of Capers' scheme.

All of Mike Martz's teams start the season awesome, then, they get figured out by defenses by midseason and play terrribly, and miss the playoffs...
