Vikings Suffer Painful 14-10 Home Loss to Dolphins
AUTHOR: danzinski

The Vikings had a lot going for them today at home against the Dolphins. Adrian Peterson ran 28 times for 145 yards and a touchdown, and caught 5 balls for 41 yards. And didnt fumble. The defense held Miami to 226 total yards and forced two turnovers. Sadly, Brett Favre picked today to have his worst game as a member of the Vikings, throwing 3 picks and fumbling another ball away in the endzone for a Miami touchdown, and generally making the sort of terrible throws every Favre hater thought he would make last year, but mostly didnt.

It all boiled down to decision-making. Two of Favres picks came on balls to Bernard Berrian that never shouldve been thrown. Brad Childress compounded things with some questionable fourth-down calls. The Vikings were really only in the game because Miami matched them boner for boner, coughing up two fumbles in situations where they were trying to take control of the game, and unleashing some truly unaccountable play calls in key situations.

As things turned out, the game may actually have been lost by the Vikings early in the first quarter. Instead of kicking a field goal, Childress elected to go for it on 4th-and-2, a move that failed. The Dolphins immediately turned around and scored 7 points, torching the Vikings secondary. Like last week against the Saints, the Vikes recovered defensively, and this week they caused turnovers that gave the offense the chance to take the game back. But, the offense, thanks largely to Favres inaccuracy and downright poor decisions, was unable to put points on the board.

The loss leaves Viking fans wondering if we might not have been better off letting Favre ride off into the sunset after last seasons amazing run. And it leaves them hoping even more that the Vikes can swing a trade for receiver Vincent Jacksonthough, if Favre doesnt tighten things up on his end, its not going to matter who the Vikings have running routes.

I'm sorry......but this makes me smile. Of course i don't care WHO is QB'ing the Vikings, all i care is that they keep losing and fall farther and farther behind us.
I wonder how long it will take for Vikings fans to jump off the BF bandwagon?

hang on to that image. If this keeps up for the Vikes you can draw in some rats with little purple #4 jerseys on swimming away from the ship!
