Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer suggested last week that the team would not have fans in attendance at U.S. Bank Stadium when the regular season gets underway and the team confirmed it on Tuesday. The Vikings announced that they will not have fans in attendance when they face the Packers in Week One and the [more]

?, are rules in place regarding prerecorded crowd noise? Can Minnesota and other teams use decibel levels to gain an advantage? Enclosed stadiums would be louder than outdoor ones.

Vikings might not have fans, but sounds like they will have edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue (at least if he signs his franchise tender).

Reportedly the Vikings traded for Yannick Ngakoue by giving the Jaguars a 2nd rounder and a conditional pick.

The conditions (according to PFT
~ 5th rounder if Yannick Ngakoue doesn't make the Pro-Bowl
~ 4th rounder if Yannick Ngakoue makes the Pro-Bowl (and Vikings don't win the Super Bowl)
~3rd rounder if Yannick Ngakoue makes the Pro-Bowl (and Vikings win the Super Bowl)

So VOTE Yannick Ngakoue to the Pro-Bowl

That's no longer the case, as Wagner or Turner are a huge step down IMO, so the edge rushers like Mack and Hunter might give our RT hell...

As far as Ngakoue, he's got elite quickness, but he's basically a young KGB, attack him heavily in the running game, pretend we're the 49ers (same offensive scheme) line a TE up across from him and keep targeting him until they prove they can stop it, no huddle too, so they can't sub him out. But having Hunter and Ngakoue gives them two good speed rushers, but considering we're expecting to run the ball more.

I was going to say Lewis across from Ngakoue but really maybe go two TEs, Lewis on Hunter side and other TE on Ngakoue and try to run back and forth on both of them, and then if they DL gets moving protecting the wide zone, go up the gut. That might keep them off balance for a couple of drives and open up play action.

Kirk Cousins just fine with getting coronavirus: ‘If I die, I die’
By Andrew MarchandSeptember 2, 2020 | 6:42am

During the interview with Brandt, Cousins went against the advice of medical experts, including the CDC, who have said masks can prevent the spread of the virus and lead to the country gaining control of the pandemic.

Brandt asked, “If 1 is the person who says, ‘Masks are stupid, you’re all a bunch of lemmings’ and 10 is, ‘I’m not leaving my master bathroom for the next 10 years,’ where do you land?”

After a chuckle, Cousins responded, “I’m not gonna call anybody stupid, for the trouble it would get me in. But I’m about a .000001.”

Brandt followed up with, “Really, how come?”

Cousins replied, “I want to respect what other people’s concerns are. For me personally, just talking no one else can get the virus, what is your concern if you could get it, I would say I’m gonna go about my daily life. If I get it, I’m gonna ride it out. I’m gonna let nature do its course. Survival-of-the-fittest kind of approach. And just say, if it knocks me out, it knocks me out. I’m going to be OK. You know, even if I die. If I die, I die. I kind of have peace about that.

“So that’s really where I fall on it, so my opinion on wearing a mask is really about being respectful to other people. It really has nothing to do with my own personal thoughts.”

Cousins, 32, is scheduled to make $35 million this season in what has been an up-and-down, but quite lucrative, playing career.

The NFL has put strict protocols, including wearing masks, in place for its teams. On the weekly editions of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” which follows the Rams and Chargers preseasons, there has been a major emphasis on wearing masks. For this past week, the NFL announced that four players among 8,739 tested positive for COVID-19.

dfosterf (22h) : Today would be a good day to discover the Pack signed Taylor Engersma, the Canadian QB
Zero2Cool (11-May) : It wasn't. He simply wanted his money back. They refused. Cops came. They gave him his money in end.

Zero2Cool (7-May) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.
Zero2Cool (7-May) : And now some Packers blogger is like Doubs to Steelers makes sense!!!!
Zero2Cool (7-May) : You saw me Tweet???

Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.
packerfanoutwest (1-May) : from a head left turn?
packerfanoutwest (1-May) : someone drunk?
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Unlikely.
dfosterf (30-Apr) : How long until Jeff Sperbeck's family sues John Elway ?
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.
