We do positively know that Lynch can be a 1000 yard rusher. We have zero indication of that for Brandon Jackson, only hopes.

DanJustDan, where is it said it would be Hawk and a draft pick to get Lynch to Green Bay? Considering the Bills say they aren't trading Lynch curious where that info came from.

Assumption, for the purpose of discussion. Since the Bills say they are not willing to trade Lynch, I believe we would need to provide more than just Hawk for a trade if they did change their mind. I don't see a straight up trade for Lynch. Even a trade of Hawk for Lynch wouldn't be worth it IMHO. I want Grant to come back and play next year.

Give Bjax a year of experience as a starter and we will truly have dangerous two back depth.

I agree about the worth fo the trade and don't want it either. Just was trying to dig deeper into the comments. I want Grant back as well, I've been one of his biggest supprters and have tried to change Tromadz's mind on that for the last two seasons without success 🙂 I'm not in te mood to just give someone a year of experience, next year is next year. I want what is best for this year to win it all. If BJack can do it, then great, I'm just on the fence for if he can do it or not. That being said, I would rather give him 1 or two weeks to see if he can handle it before jumping the gun and getting rid of quality depth and future prospects.

I wouldn't expect much news out of this front until at least after the Bills game. There's no way they'd trade players a few days before a game, even if they were dead certain they were going to trade.

Interesting, anyone read Peter King's Game Plan article today?

Peter King - Game Plan

Of note.

6. Who takes charge in the Green Bay backfield. Though it looks to be Brandon Jackson taking over for the injured Ryan Grant, don't be surprised to see John Kuhn, the 250-pound short-yardage back, stealing carries (and fantasy points) from Jackson. And don't be surprised to see GM Ted Thompson deal for a Fred Jackson in the next few days, particularly if the running game struggles against Buffalo, which shouldn't happen.

So is that why the Bills are saying no about Lynch, they are willing to give us Fred Jackson instead? And wonder where King is hearing this from.

I don't think there will be a trade. BUT if there is I think Thompson would be more open to Fred Jackson than Lynch. Why? Lynch is a thug wanna be... and if he gets in trouble one more time he's out for 16 games like Jolly which I don't like and I wouldn't think the Packers would.

Jackson on the other hand has slowly worked his way up the latter and earned he's way to where he's at. He wasn't just given it with a high draft pick. Also Jackson is a three down back very good at catching and has done some kick returning on STs.

But this is the first I've heard any media say it.

I still think Kuhn may surprise us before all is said and done.

For some reason I keep thinking of MIke Alstott...and thinking Kuhn might be better.

Correct.
Correct 102 tackles in 2000 and 110 tackles in 2002 (led the team both years I believe) 5 1/2 sacks in 2002 with 3 Ints and 3 fumbles forced. Had 85 tackles in only 12 games in 2001.
And wrong. GB released him and he was signed as a FA by Phil.

I still give you +1 for getting 2 out of 3.

I wouldn't trade anyone for Lynch. He is too stupid if he has to act the way he does.

I wouldn't trade Hawk for anyone, except a better ILB. Because with Bishop not practicing due to a pulled hamstring, we would have 2 healthy ILBs left. ZERO depth at any position is a stupid way to go into a game.

HAHA YES. watching the game last week i saw Kuhn just pile his way through like 4 defenders on his way to a ~10 yard run. Was an awesome alstott impression and its awesome to know he is capable of that. Should see that more often with Grant gone.
