http://twitter.com/RobDemovsky  says AJ's agent said he is open for a trade. Also his house was put up for sale yesterday (no source to offer).

What you guys think?

knee jerk response is go for it. It's highly unlikely the team will resign him next year, plus he didn't play a snap Sunday. Seems to be a win-win for both teams.

I don't like seeing a consistent player leave but lynch could be good for us and he could very well revise his career. But the question is will he start or be are 3rd down back??

Honestly I'm thinking this is the media and fan getting over excited about a rumor that probably won't happen, but there seems like a lot of smoke... so there might be a fire, but I guess it's just all the hot air coming from people looking for some exciting big deal in the cold tundra.

Two things:

1) We play the Bills this week. Not happening in the immediate future.

2) Highly problematic to make a big trade for RB without having seen what B-Jack can do first.

I refuse to get my hopes up, and losing Hawk would deal a blow to our ILB depth. Plus he fits the cliche of a true "Packer" - hard working, all about football, etc. But I still find myself a little excited.

But yeah. I really like Hawk but he really has just been a guy out there. He makes a few awesome interceptions once in a while but that is because he is just in the right position at the right time. He has been a quality player, but I think there is a mutual understanding and respect the organization and AJ Hawk have. We can't use his full potential and it would be best for him to be on a team who would make use of his talents.

You don't think they could agree to not have either player on their active roster for this upcoming game? Or do you think that Hawk will spill more to the Bills than Lynch will to the Packers?

They released Francois from the PS for a reason.. he'll be signed to the active roster to replace Hawk.

It makes too much sense, this is going to happen.

I suppose it could have been for depth (a la Wynn signing) but if they had complete confidence in Bjack I'm not sure the team would have gone outside of the roster/PS to bring in Nance

We've had these types of rumors come up all the time and when has Ted ever substantiated the media rumors? Virtually never, so I tend to agree with you, but I do think there's a nugget of truth to some of these rumblings.
