I still don't understand why people think this was a good move by the Packers to not give up a higher draft pick or whatever. This is a stupid move, it didn't hurt us because Jennings turned out be good but its still stupid. Jennings is good but he's not in the same league as Moss. It's not even close. Moss is one of the top 5 WRs in the history of the NFL, Jennings is no where near that.
If we went 13-3 that year with no Moss, who knows how deadly we would have been with Randy Moss. That year Moss was unstoppable. I don't get how this ruins the long-term success. You still have Greg Jennings, why does it have to be one or the other.
Imagine if in 2007 we had Jennings, Driver and RANDY F'N MOSS. This has nothing to do with Brett Favre, I just don't understand how it was a good move not to get a guy that had probably one of the best seasons ever for a WR. I think he would have been just as motivated in GB playing with Favre as he would have been in NE with Brady.
And I thought a lot of people were saying the whole TT/Randy Moss criticism isn't fair because Randy Moss never wanted to come to GB?
End result to me, stupid move, we will never know but I think our chances of winning to the SB in 2007 would have been better and I fail to see how it hurts you long-term.
