You guys are just too rational.

I'm still waiting for a rebuttal of the wormhole theory.

It wasn't a wormhole. A ball made of pigskin and filled with air would have come out flattened and elongated after traveling through a wormhole. Plus, you have the problem of space/time.

Not prepared for it?

That is a trademark of the Philly defenses under the Jim Johnson coaching tree.. and they do it well.

But how can one not be aware of it coming into the game that they would be disguising their blitzes and have some measures in place to deal with it?

Personally we got outplayed on the turf.. especially at the edges verses their speed.

The reason I say not prepared is because he was so exceptional against blitzes and such last year. This game was very uncharacteristic of him. He also usually does a better job getting them to show before the snap and he didn't do that either.

Thanks for clearing up your thoughts in my mind.. scary place man.. scary place is my mind. ;)

The coaching staff had to know that they were going to blitz from everywhere and anywhere but the stands.. and that we would have a hot route on every pass play.. what killed that and lead to Rodgers footwork is I believe the took the value away in Finley and we didn't adjust to it..

Thus leading to the increased pressure, real and perceived, on Rodgers part and causing him to sit back and throw verses his normal delivery.. causing accuracy issues.

Personally I was impressed and surprised that we didn't adjust to the coverage on Finley better and work him free more.

I am in favor of the butterfly effect.
Ie a lion roared in africa which caused bear flatulance in Yellowstone. Which caused a thermal diruption in the air in Philly. The difference in air density caused the ball to rise.
Simplist explanation I can think of anyway
I am therefor I think.

You are assuming a flat unbounded space. If the stadium is assumed elliptical, than the ball is fine. Rodgers made this mistake as well; otherwise Finley would have made the completion.

You only addressed the football itself but you failed to address the space/time problem. I still say it's not a wormhole because that pass would have gone into the black hole and come out in my best estimate around August 19, 2047.

EDIT: Actually, never mind. I figured it out.

That was in fact a wormhole.

In 1963, Sonny Jurgensen threw a pass that "just disappeared." The INT we saw yesterday that we saw yesterday was that pass coming out of the wormhole.

By a strange coincidence, Aaron Rodgers' pass entered a wormhole at the same time Jurgensen's pass exited a previous wormhole and should come out somewhere in Pennsylvania in 2047.

Jurgensen, not Rodgers, should be credited for that interception. I'll notify the NFL stat keepers immediately.
