I think people need to start realizing that Ted looks at everything emotionless. You simply can't make a decision because your sour at a guys injuries, past, or whatever.
He's already signed through next year and has already been paid the majority of his contract, I don't see why you would just simply waive him (which you technically can't do anyway) when you can put him on the IR and see how he recovers. I bet they give him a settlement and let him battle it our again next year.
You don't think that if a number 9 overall pick, at a position we need, had a season ending injury and the team he was on was fed up and cut him, we would want to bring him in next year and see what he can do? Especially after he showed promise and back was supposably holding up.
Only way we get rid of Harrell is if there is a better option, there may be, but not yet.
We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

One has to feel for the kid.. and the lights were just starting to brighten for him.

Best wishes for the kid, wherever the next path in his road takes him.. even if it is back here in Green Bay.

Nice post 93z. I cringe when people disparrage the kid personally. By every accont, he has worked relentlessly to overcome every injury he has endured. Just very unfortunate that he starts to show some of the promise he was drafted for, and his knee gets messed.

I wish the kid well...wherever and whatever lies next for him.

ACL... ACL.

Report: Packers DE Harrell suffers ACL injury

Posted Sept. 13, 2010 @ 9:19 a.m. ET
By PFW staff

According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, Packers DE Justin Harrell told teammates he tore the ACL in his left knee in Sunday's win over the Eagles.

Harrell suffered the injury while blocking on Mason Crosby's 49-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Harrell, a first-round pick in 2007, has played in just 14 career games with two starts since joining the league. He missed all of 2009 and most of '08 with a lower back injury that required two surgeries.

The way we see it

This would be a very sad end to the season for a guy who has battled back from injury to play in 2010, and just exemplifies the wear and tear of the NFL. The former first-rounder from Tennessee battled back from injury to make the team as a backup on the D-line. While it does not affect the Packers' depth too much, it's unfortunate for Harrell.

That is a bummer. If he's here next year and MAKES the team, I don't know. I think it's time to cut ties with the big fella. Football just doesn't seem to be in his future. Hope he uses his degree from UT and makes a good career out of it, cuz the NFL just isn't for his body.

Call it injury prone, fragile, or just bad luck, either way, he's not on the field on Sunday's and that's all that matters.

Good luck to you in the future Justin (I know you read PH too).

Yeah, it's pretty much official now. Harrell heading to IR.

Also tweeted Grant had a major ankle injury and won't be available against Buffalo this week. Hopefully he won't miss more than 4 games.

Well.. we now have a shopping list for Uncle Ted to fill this week.. a D lineman and trim a roster spot for an additional running back..

Sorry I don't have a ton of faith in Jackson's durability nor Kuhn's ability to carry the rock 15 - 25 totes a game.

Expected ACL tear.

Terrible luck on the injury front.

Looks like we'll be in the market for a DE.

Mucky Tundra (18h) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (18h) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (18h) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (18h) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
beast (18h) : Not sure anyone is interested in Isaiah Simmons... Collin Oliver might of taken his potential slot
beast (19h) : I'm going with Jax Ulbrich is not telling the whole truth... he accidentally came across it? Why would a defensive coordinator have a QB #?
Zero2Cool (19h) : He's not that great, but final piece of the script.\
Zero2Cool (19h) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (20h) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (20h) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
Zero2Cool (20h) : Shough is the guy who missed guys at combine isn't he?
beast (21h) : It's not official until I'm dead! I have a chance still! (Not really)

Mucky Tundra (26-Apr) : saw the tweet, he meant the city
Mucky Tundra (26-Apr) : Was that for the team or the city?

beast (26-Apr) : Buddy Ryan used to say if a candy bar goes missing, there are two to blame, Rex and Rob 🤪 jk 😁
Martha Careful (26-Apr) : Bum Phillips used to say there are two ways to get better. Get better players or get players to play better. We have a new DL coach
Zero2Cool (26-Apr) : Yes. Look at the losses last year. They can win.
beast (26-Apr) : Can Packers win with their current DL?
bboystyle (26-Apr) : waiting for a pass rusher.
dfosterf (25-Apr) : 5 minutes between picks in the 3rd
dfosterf (25-Apr) : 3rd. Hate this phone
dfosterf (25-Apr) : 4rd
dfosterf (25-Apr) : 5 minutes in the 4
dfosterf (25-Apr) : 7 minutes between picks in the 2nd round
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : Sorry to bitch, but the headline writers in that section absolutely mislead, or don't know how to read. It is maddening
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : No thanks. Not a dependable guy to be in the right place and run the right route. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : Losing 2nd round pick for a one year rental, not ideal. Especially a headcase.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Apr) : Pickens for Jaire may be interesting. Definitely not sure we want Pickens long term.
dfosterf (25-Apr) : No.Absolutely not
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : NO NO NO NO NO NO!!1 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
dhazer (25-Apr) : scenario: Our main prospects are off the board when our pick comes around, do we just throw a 2nd round pick at Pittsburgh for Pickens
