Cut ties with the bum.

Ted, I love you, I think you're doing a great job, but you missed on this one. It happens.

No REAL argument, Dale, but...

He missed nothing. He took a real good shot at some real potential, imo

I have beat this kid without mercy. It was an excellent shot to try and get a dominator.

I'm sure Ted will continue to keep trying in this area. Have you priced these guys on the open market? Talk about brutal...I say keep trying..

Well, if it's an ACL, I presume they have to put him on IR until he's healed/rehabbed anyway, don't they?.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they could just cut him. It doesn't make any difference to the Packers' bottom line, though. Whether they simply waive him or they place him on IR, he will be due his entire base salary for the remainder of the year.

I don't think you can just waive an injured player. You have to put on IR or come to a settlement.

I think it's too late to come to a settlement. I think as a vested veteran, Harrell is simply due his entire base salary regardless. Obviously, he's not entitled to any escalators or other bonuses.

It is unfortunate that this happened since he really appeared to have a shot a making a contribution this year. In the end it looks like Harrell will be a big 1st round bust due to just bad luck.

Time to let him go. There is no reason to keep him around anymore. He has not produced ever and whether that is his fault or not is not the point, the point is that its time to move on from Harrell.

I would say the Packers should just IR him, sign him to a minimal contract next season (if his contract is ever up) and let him compete in camp next year. I don't see any benefit of releasing him over IR unless the Packers just want to totally wash their hands of him.

Just give him an injury settlement and rid ourselves of him. Justin is like the Vikings, just plain cursed. Justin doesn't strike me as the type of guy that will put in the work to ever get back into shape, like Al did.

Looks like Cullen Jenkins will get a big pay day now, and probably Jolly too. Let's hope Neal can really make a statement.

I don't know if he's just fragile, unlucky or both. Either way, he's not contributing to the team and it's time to sever ties. Feel bad for the guy, seems like a real nice fella. Someone above just doesn't want him playing in the NFL.

Goddammit.

Well... as much as I hate to say it... we could probably get Haynesworth... He's said he wouldn't mind playing on a 3-4 team if he could play DE...
