This is from the Ravens site, but I did hear him say this on ESPN's PTI

Peter King: Steelers will win Super Bowl

The first far-out prediction of the summer is upon us. In Sports Illustrated's 2010 NFL preview issue that goes on newstands Thursday, Peter King predicts the Steelers will beat the Packers in this season's Super Bowl, 33-27.

He has the Ravens finishing second in the AFC North at 9-7, but beating out the Bengals for a playoff berth. Then he has the Ravens losing to the Jets, 20-16, in the wild-card round.

The Steelers are going to be without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for at least four games, and possibly six, and likely will have Byron Leftwich as his replacement in the interim.

wtf we are doomed
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Oh man that's hilarious. I have a hard time seeing the Steelers make the playoffs. If they can manage without Ben, Polamalu stays healthy, and their offensive line plays well above expectations they could make the playoffs, but super bowl? What is Peter smoking?

I like Peter King and I think his pick has more to do with lack of strong teams in the AFC and past team history than anything else. Pittsburgh is a team that was just recently in the Super Bowl and they have a lot to prove this year. Seriously though, look at the other teams in the AFC:

EAST - Jets have a lot of bravado but can it transfer to the field? Patriots are getting old and injured. I don't know shit about the Dolphins. And the Bills will probably suck lol.

NORTH - Ravens seem like they are one of the true strong contenders in the conference. Steelers. Bengals might have a chance. Browns I think will get better than last season but there's not a lot of talent on that roster.

SOUTH - Colts. Manning. Everyone knows that story. Titans are pretty one-dimensional: decent defense and Chris Johnson. They'll be good but not great. Jaguars I don't know much about either but don't seem to impressive. Texans I think will be good this year, I've always liked them. They have four potential pro-bowl players on defense alone and an amazing offense with possible the best WR in the league.

WEST - There's the Chargers and everyone else. Really not much to say here.

So what teams would file in as possibilities if you had to pick 5? Chargers, Colts, Ravens and ...?

Jets, Colts, Ravens are the SB favorites from AFC. I don't think the Chargers will make it to the AFC Championship game this year, their OL is in shambles, they have a weak defense and Vincent Jackson is holding out.

If the Jets are Super Bowl favorites this year, it must be in spite of Mark Sanchez, not because of him.

Couldn't agree more. But Shonn & LT will tear it up with that O-Line, and their defense is just wow if Revis gets back.

Peter King even admits in his MMQB when he made that prediciton that he hasn't been correct in picking a Super Bowl winner since the Lombardi days. It's as good as the Madden curse.

Pittsburgh will not make the playoffs

The strongest team in the AFC in my opinion (for what it's worth) are the Ravens.

I still don't get all the Jets love either. I truly believe they were a one off last season.

Zero2Cool (3h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (7h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (7h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (8h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (8h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (8h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (8h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (8h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (8h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (8h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (8h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (8h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (8h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (8h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (8h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (9h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (10h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (10h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (10h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
