Everyone that says Shields is talented sounds like an Al Davis disciple to me. The only talent he has at CB right now is speed, and that's it.

Look, we all know what it's like to have a CB whose only talent was speed. That was Ahmad Carroll. Shields has already shown more than Carroll ever did.
I don't like the thread title, by the way. Nobody can say that Shields is not ready for prime time. We'll find that out on September 12th. Like a lot of fans, I don't feel great about having such a young, raw guy possibly playing nickel in the season opener, but I'm willing to see how it plays out.
