Porter would be a nice one to try and sneak onto the PS, on the other hand I can't see Quarless getting through waivers. Man i'd love to get a pick for Lee and keep 4 TE's or try to sneak Crabtree on the PS.
We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

For the PS I'd like any of these:

Porter, G. Harrell, Crabtree, Chery, Campbell (OT), Talley, Wilson, Joseph.

Not sure who'll clear waivers though.

My guess is the first three probably won't.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

I'm fairly confident the last three will clear waivers. Perhaps the last four.

With Crabtree's hand in a cast I wonder if we can stash him on IR. Probably not.

Does the NFL have oversight with respect to who goes on IR? After all, we currently have someone on IR for a "sprained ankle." Seems dicey to me.

a player being put on IR is subjected to waivers, so I've read. The player can also deny being put on IR ... I believe.

Wow, they think Will Blackmon could get cut. I hope his knee is not that bad.

I seem to be alone in thinking that Newhouse is practice squad material, not regular roster material, but we will find out soon.

EDIT: They were right about Blackmon. They must've had inside information on him, because nobody else that I know of predicted that he would be cut. Which raises the question, what's the point of coming out with your projected cuts just a few hours before the actual cuts anyway? I hope they're wrong about Zombo being cut. I bet they are because Obiozor has already been cut.

You can put a player to IR immediately, but you must pay his full salary for the year.

You can also waive/injured a player, at which point he will go through waivers, but if no one claims him, he goes to the IR. In this scenario you have to pay less than the full salary of the year.

If you always had to go through waivers to get to IR, do you think there's any chance in hell that someone like Elvis Dumervil wouldn't get snapped up and stored in some team's regular roster?
