I don't think "free" is the word you're looking for. Controlling illegal immigration is a somewhat important issue, but it has zero to do with "freedom", unless we're talking about the new BROAD and counter-intuitive definition of freedom used lately by the GOP.

Does every important issue have to come down to freedom? Is that how strong the doublespeak has become in this country?
