4. Vikings receivers are no where NEAR as good as the Packers receivers.

Debatable. I think their 1-3 vs our 1-3 are neck and neck or they're slightly better. Our 1-4 vs their 1-4 is slightly better. Plus, Shianco's good but I'd rather have Finley.

AP though is a better receiver than anyone we have.

I do agree that...

1. Our offensive line can still be a concern due to Clifton and Tauscher not being reliable for a whole season.
2. Linebacker injuries should be a concern, but we do have depth at linebacker. People want to see Bishop and Chillar get more time anyways.
3. The loss of Jolly WILL hurt our defensive front.
4. Special teams really are not-so-special....

"G-Force" wrote:

1. That's why we got Baluga.
2. Agreed
3. Nah. Our offseason took care of Jolly's loss.
4. You can say it. They suck.

Heh.

Only gamble money you can afford to lose. I follow a strict budget. Me gambling on the Packers will probably mean something like no new clothing for me for the next 6 months. It will come out of another part of the budget.

8 to 1 odds when there are 4 elite teams in the NFC and we can reasonably say one of those 4 teams will choke miserably (Dallas). MN has a history of choking and you know what they say about history. So that leaves us and the Saints to represent the NFC.

I like those odds.

I'm pretty sure this year is the NFC's. The Pats started their decline in '08. The Jets are on the rise but aren't ready yet. The Colts should decline soon. The Chargers are on the decline. The Steelers are a wild card as anything can happen with them.

See I know myself.. and sports gambling and me don't mix..

If I would just keep myself in check and only bet on the strong inklings I get about games, teams or whatnot would be okay.. but I get greedy and then start taking shots at the long odds.. because I will myself to believe I could be right..

And it spirals from there... when I first got out of college and had a large bump in disposable income.. read before I got married and kids.. lol.. I let it get a little excessive.. never got myself in financial trouble but stressed it.. and then finally pulled back.

So now I avoid it and not tempt fate..

Did I every mention I have an addictive personality.. the trick is controlling it. ;)

There... more than you wanted to know about Pack93z.. lol.

Pack - OK, did not know that.

Well in that case, don't gamble then. If I do make a Vegas run though and we win it all, I'll pm for your address and send you some good Scotch. However, I'm getting a lot of contracting hours though so the run is not likely.

LOL.. like everything in my life.. I am comfortable with it.. and try to understand it..

And most importantly try like a dickens not to judge people upon my convictions, opinions or trials. But remind myself I fail often as well.

Now.. I do keep a very strong eye on Vegas.. they have much invested in being right more so than any talking head.

When the kids leave or my financial's change.. I will dabble again.. lol.

Pack - Well, to a point. They're more interested in making money than being right.

People are tend to be sheepish. Which explains bandwagoners.

Vegas adjusts the odds accordingly.

By the way, nothing wrong with failure. I respect people who try and fail. I don't respect people who make excuses for not even trying.

Plus, if you fail enough times, you'll eventually succeed.

But the nearer to kickoff, tipoff, faceoff or first pitch.. the odds kind of fall in line more so..

Yes they set the lines to draw in money.. but much research is invested in making sure they minimize the odds for them losing their shirts..
