Singing.....i LOVE to sing.

Deer hunting.

Golf. Not any good at it though. But there's a little par 3, 9 hole course that's only 5 bucks.

Playing bowling, golf, and football on my Wii.

I'm trying to find a '89 Score Barry Sanders ... not as easy as it was ten years ago.

That card used to go for over $200 and I found it online in several places for less than $100 ... kind of crazy. I won't buy one online. I need to see it before I buy it. Hopefully the prices aren't too high.

It books in Beckett for only $40.
I bought mine at a card shop in Milwaukee in 1990. Paid $50 for it.

Just checked ebay.
Here's a card graded by Beckett at an 8.5 (near mint-mint)
a good grade, and only $30 plus $6 shipping. Not a bad deal at all!

Yeah, he was only in his second year then, so I can see that. But now he's a top five all time rushing leader, hall of famer and played his entire career with one team. I would think his rookie card would be more than $80.

You'd think so. But it's one of those "out of sight, out of mind" things. When a guy retires, alot of times his cards drop. And the next "new thing" takes his place.
That's what happened as far as Sanders goes.
Guys just starting in the NFL have cards priced WAY above Sanders. And they haven't played a down yet.
Now would be a good time to get that card. The 89 Score wasn't a real high press run. Kind of a hard card to find. Plus, being as it's graded by Beckett, you KNOW it's legit. Not a counterfeit.

Guilty pleasure (though not really hobby): More expensive hotels than I can really afford.

Yep, the '89 Score set was not heavily produced, which is why 10 years later I would imagine there'd be less in good condition which would drive up the price. Don't get me wrong, if I only have to pay $50 for it, I'm down with that. Just surprised.
