Living in London, it is difficult to find football fans. My presence on football forums is limited to Packershome because it provides me with everything, most of all smart, insightful posters who I learn from by reading their take on things.

I am very intolerant, and reading the comments on nfl.com pretty much puts me off even registering an interest anywhere outside of packershome.

That being said, I do have one Packer running buddy who browses these forums.

If I remember correctly wasn't there like 5 of us that joined on the same day? I remember Dave from another site that I got booted from a few times lol.
I know alot don't like me on here because I take the negative side but thats because I want to have discussions.

I'll try and help out more this year, thinking of getting sunday ticket for the games.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I do appreciate all and each members contributions to the website. Lord knows, I'd still be talking to only Shawn and Nick if ya all wouldn't have came. :)

I'm not one for advertising, because I'm afraid of the saying 'you get what you ask for'. I like how our site is right now. Small with really great members. I like that we don't have a plethora of new people all the time, unless it was the majority being good of course.

I love how, when you add all the jersey numbers up and divide them by 3, you have the average IQ of the players on your avatar.

I have one friend who likes football. He's a Patriots fan who hates forums.

I think a PackersHome youtube page would do wonders in spreading the word. Even though it may be an open invitation for trolls (read youtube comments) I am sure some good can come of it.

It would be a prime way to expose people to the intelligent content they can expect from PackersHome.

Looking at the threads where the likes of Porky take the effort to break down a specific play/package - I am of the opinion that something like this would translate well into youtube medium via voice and pictures.

Voicechat roundtable type discussions regarding everything Packers (or other stuff) with a couple pictures if necessary, I don't know, I think something like this would worka treat. These things can end up a trainwreck but with the calibre of members this website has, I am confident it would be interesting and fun.

Ironman has a well designed youtube page - have a look at it yall if you haven't already seen it.

I've actually toyed with the idea of doing those breakdowsn with pictures, videos and talking, rather than just writing, but my voice, accent and translation-on-the-go skills make it more of a hassle than it's worth.

I asume podcasts won't be much better.

We actually had a member who made podcasts when I just joined. Don't know who it was, though.

I think you would be excellent at it, regardless of your accent - infact it further serves to highlight the variety we get here, add that to your age (Which in relation to what you write, I find pretty remarkable) and you have a good example of what makes PH awesome.

You don't have to translate on the fly, Detlev. Simply write out your script ahead of time.

Only if you're planning on chattering through every second of the video, which probably isn't necessary.
