I helped see us through the "fiasco", along with the rest of the "former" "staff", and got to know so many of you on more than the "surface" level. I am extremely proud of Kevin, Shawn, Rourke, myself and Porky for that.

This site not only survived during that experience, it actually thrived... because of that "team" of differing views, but with a strong sense of fairness being universal...

This is NOT what I am most proud of, as regarding Packershome.com

What I AM proud of.... is taking a little time and trouble to explain to a fellow member from another packer forum "how we roll" at packerhome.com

...and he tried it. ....and he LOVED it....and now, you love him...I absolutely do, on a selfish level...

I intend to do the exact same thing this year, with a different fella...

It would be excellent if I was not alone.

I take a lot of pride in this site too. I feel like I have a vested interest in it, and to some extent (though I know this is pure personal hubris), I feel as though I still help run it.

I talk about the community here at PackersHome.com almost everyday to people I meet, and I encourage them to join up. I often wonder if any of our new members are people I recruited.

I've made some personal friends here, and our friendship extends outside this forum. I even consider a couple of you confidantes. (You know who you are.)

To all of you, I just want to say . . . "Thank you."

I've told one of my friends--he says he's visited before and read a couple things but never posted. He'll probably have to jump in once the season gets under way.
