I lost my mentor · PACKERSHOME

My wife's dad passed away early Monday evening.

I looked up to him. He taught me so much about life. He was not only my mentor and my friend. I considered him to be my second father. I love him very much.

This has been a very hard year for him. At least he is not suffering any more. I will miss him and look forward to the day when we meet once again.

In a little more than 2 weeks it will be 3 years since my own father passed away. If not for August being the month in which my mother was born and that my two dads are at peace, I could learn to hate this month.

It sure sounds like you were very lucky in the son-in-law department.

Very sorry that you have to go through this.

Please give my sincere condolences to your wife and family on my behalf.

I don't think of my self as a son by law. Just a son.

He never served in the military (Health issues) but he was certainly a patriot.
He was so proud of my son when he served. :'{

Aww....Wayne....i'm so sorry to of this.
Consider yourself fortuanate to have had such a great father in law. Many of us didn't have that luxery. The bad part of course, is what you are feeling now. Being as he WAS such a great man, you feel the loss even more.
My prayers go out to you. Please give Rhonda a big hug for me.
