Ha I like that. Might have been better if it were a Vikings, Cowboys, or Bears fan, but we can't all be perfect. That probably replaces my previous favorite Packers commercial, where Favre was the Monday morning QB. He still have 9 years left on his shun sentence.

Living in the 49'ers territory the commercial seemed odd.

Unfortunately for the 49'ers they have only one traditional opponent left, the Rams. If you do not understand the Northern and Southern California rivalry you may not understand how it built up. But now, the Rams are in St Louis. It is not the same.

The Falcons for decades in the NFC West are no longer there.

The Cardinals who for decades were in the NFC East are relatively new divisional opponents as is Seattle.

If you think about it, it is rather sad that the 49'ers have lost their rivalries and are attempting to build new ones.

Does anyone remember an ESPN commercial where Favre was walking around the house in his helmet? I always chuckled at that for some reason.

Of course nowadays, whenever he pops up on tv, I usually change the channel, accompanied by an expletive 🙂
