so i've been praying for jackson, mia, & families for the past few weeks. worrying about them, hoping for them, & willing my strength to them. then i got a call from my best friend libby yesterday. she's been ill for about a month now. couldn't figure out what was going on. she's a nurse & even she felt 'blown off' by the docs. so she pushed the issue & they did some indepth blood work. her white blood cell count is 2. there are lines in her blood. right now, they're thinking either leukemia or lymphoma. she has a bone marrow biopsy on friday. i am in complete, total, & utter shock. not just for libby but for mia & jackson as well. i fell apart last nite & cried for awhile.

i hate cancer. 😞

Damn, sometimes it can all seem so cruel.

Tell her to fight it and to be strong. She'll be in my thoughts.

I hate ALL diseases. I think cancer is one of the worse. And i bet EVERY family has been "attacked" by it. I lost my grandma to it. My nephews wife lost both her breasts in her early 30's.
The "C" word is a dreaded word.
Tell her to keep strong, and let her know she will be in our prayers, Illy.

"I hate cancer" -- it should be a bumpersticker. I'm with you. Lost my big brother when he was 27. My dad never really recovered; and died of cancer himself less than 2 years later. My sister is a breast cancer survivor.

And, as Cheesey said, everyone has been attacked by the bastard C. I wish they'd just ship it to Rigel 12.

Well, Zero......that's one of the "problems" with a site like yours. Many of us have come to reguard those on here as "family". Thus, we share not only the good times, but the difficult times as well.
(I actually don't see that as a "problem", more like a "blessing".)

We are here to lift up those that are having difficult times. As i know from firsthand expierience. This place has helped me through MANY hard times.

Life is grand... but is has some damn bitter pills to swallow along the way.

It amazes me for all the advancements we have as a global society.. it seems shocking that we can't find a cure for this plague upon us..

I lost an Uncle to cancer, like a second father to me, almost 20 years later, and the vile hatred I have for the disease.
