Packers CEO Mark Murphy may want to "enhance" Lambeau Field just like he wants to "enhance" the NFL regular season -- by making it larger.
Adding as many as 8,000 seats to the 72,928-seat stadium is one of the many ideas being tossed around by the organization, according to the Business Journal of Milwaukee. If this change came to pass, the team could enclose the south end of the stadium, creating a "wall of sound." (The team has no solution for the "clapping gloves make no sound" dilemma.)
"We are looking at a number of options," said Murphy.
We mentioned in May the team was looking for fan input about possibly growing the stadium; these new details give us an idea what the Packers have in mind.
