Zero - I am very much against the entitlement mentality. Like in corporations, if there's a 19-year-old kid who does circles around a guy who's been there for 20 years, then yes, the 19-year-old should make more money than the veteran and should also get the promotion sooner.

Likewise, CM3 got 10 sacks. Poppinga got one. CM3 made the Pro Bowl. Poppinga will likely never get one. CM3 will have many.

Pack - You know the fine details way more than I do and I thank you for it. All I know is the results. Poppinga didn't cover too well and he only got 1 sack.

What I want is for this team to continually improve. If we got someone off the street who is better than Poppinga, then good.

Is it possible that mm likes a player in the 'press' as motivation? We all know Rodgers is good, but he seems to peg him for this and that.

Seems like the players who are good, he kind of picks them apart.
The players we seem to think are less talented he says positive things about.

There is also the element of talking up players in hopes of moving them as well via trade or what not.. it does little good to dismiss a player going into camp.

Now.. once the season starts.. I think in the press players should be held more accountable than they currently are in GB. Challenge their asses in public.. a time proven technique if done effectively. That and sitting their asses for a game or two.. in 07' that threat lit a fire under Colledge's ass. Well for a couple games anyway. 😉

2007: Benched for three games late in the season because of his play, then got the nod to start at left guard in the regular season finale and had his best game of the season. ... Followed that up with another solid performance in Green Bays playoff win over Seattle. ... Allowed some bone-crunching sacks on Brett Favre, especially Nov. 29 at Dallas. ... Gave up 3 sacks during the season and also had spot duty at left tackle for Clifton.

An element that needs consideration. I wouldn't be surprised.
