I thought Jon Ryan was great. The only inconsistency I felt came in the Bears game in December 2007...which would be mimicked many times by Frost.

Jest or not, I like that kind of fire in a player. He's the type of guy who gets other people pumped up. Kind of like when Steve Young took a hit and his helmet came off but he didn't go down, and he continued running without a helmet. The rest of the team got pumped.

Everyone liked Ryan. I've always been a strong proponent of morale. Morale is underrated. Morale is how a lesser team like the '07 Giants wins a SB against a superior opponent. Ryan was a morale boost to our team. So he shanked a few. So did every other punter we've had since. I think Zero had a good point about him shanking it because our STs coach was messing with his technique.

Cutting Ryan was bad. But keeping Frost on the roster for 3 months was embarrassing.

Yep, Frost couldn't hold if his life depended on it.

I generally enjoy PFW. They do find it difficult to praise the Packers at times, but the criticism that they give on occasion is spot on. It also means that when they praise GB, it's not just any publication praising the Pack. It's a publication located in the town of one of GBs two biggest rivals. The stuff about Josh Sitton and last year's rookie class stands out.

What I don't like is when they take quotes from around the league and put up the most ridiculous comments they get. Some people hold grudges and you can tell that comes across in some of their audibles. I remember that Matt Flynn vs. Aaron Rodgers article from early last season. I believe after the Bengal game. That was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. Clearly, that person had some sort of beef with Rodgers.
