My wife, Lauriejean, has a compression fracture in her spine. She is in ALOT of pain. And the doctors don't even know if there is anything they can do for her. She is very frustrated. They have her out of work until at least the 18th, when she is to see the "next" doctor. (She's seen 3 specialists already)
So prayers (or well wishes from thos that don't believe in God) would be MUCH appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear that Cheesey, I hope it's a speedy recovery for her. Spine problems are certainly not something to be taken lightly. Don't stop till you find the right doctor.

Thanks engineer. It's been pretty tough. She's not used to lying around, and it's put her in a not so good mood. (Can't blame her)
I can't do anything to help her, and it's makes me feel useless.
Frustrating, for sure.

My family extends its prayers to you and LJ.

Now.. I would like to share that, I suffered a compression fracture in my lower thoracic and upper lumbar (T10,T11,T12, L1)... not only did they pancaked together there were several fractures through them.

I took the most time to heal, but without surgery I can honestly say that is the least lingering of all the major injuries I suffered.

Why share.. to hopefully ease some of the long term fears / concerns that you may have...

The biggest thing for me.. is that I am very particular at which doctors even breathe upon my spine.. no chiropractors, general physicians.. they all want to "fix" it.... I tell them there is no reason to "fix" it...it doesn't bother me to that point.

Anyway.. there. TMI.. but good luck.. it sucks.

This looks like a job for Dulak. Unfortunately, he does have his cape on, but he's saving folks in the wrong country.

Wishing both of you best, Alan. My wife and I both have bad backs so I sympathize immensely.

Best wishes LJ.......(.and to you too, Cheesey) Back problems are a pain in the ass...........whoops, pain in the back. Been there, done that, with 2 back surgeries and finally a spinal fusion. No problem since then. Follow the doctors orders, and if you can't do that, then have fun.

Wife saw the doc today. He says she's doing better, but he's not sure yet if it will heal up enough for her to continue her job. So we are in a "holding pattern" for now.
Plus of course, her work is purposely screwing her around and she hasn't received a dime from her short term disability.
She pays every week for that insurance, but here when she needs it, they do everything possible to screw us over.
We call the insurance company, they blame her work. She calls her work, they blame the insurance company.

Alan, let your fingers do the walking to your nearest copy of the Yellow Pages, and pick a law firm at random. Then call up both her place of employment and her insurance company and inform them that if the situation is not resolved to your satisfaction by such-and-such date, they will be hearing from your attorney at that law firm. This tactic has never failed to produce results for me, and I've never yet had to actually call the attorney.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
