I was going to correct the OP in that the NFL doesn't retire players as a player for a certain team. They retire as players of the NFL, not a team member. When Favre finally does go into the HoF, he'll have the Falcons, Packers, Jets and Vikings listed as the teams he performed for (assuming those are the only 4 teams he's suited up for).

Heh, he couldn't go in as a Viking anyway. In the football HOF, players do not go in as a member of any one team, (like in baseball)

I hope he wears his Vikings jersey the day he goes in, for all the Packer fans that turned on him after he was escorted out of Green Bay.
