I am not a fan of Vasher. He is hurt to often and hasn't produced in a few years (even while getting thrown at). With the age and injuries at the CB position (Harris, Lee, Blackmon) Vasher is far from a "sure thing".

I would much rather take my chances on a rookie I could develop and has upside over a injury prone vet.

Great point.

I don't know if any of you remember the first game of last season against the Bears, Vasher was the one covering Jennings when he scored his game-winning TD. Frankly, Vasher looked out-matched, and as Chris Collins said (it's available on the top 5 pass plays @ home on Packers.com) Vasher is old, injury prone, and has recently struggled in coverage.

If I'm not mistaken, Vasher was benched last year for playing poorly...?

Either way, I think I'd prefer to push my luck with youngsters like Underwood and Bell (who I say has some solid technique) instead of signing an old vet.

His rookie year, he had a 79 yard TD against an All-Pro CB.

He's also tougher than people realize. Not easy to bring down in the open field.

We sometimes forget that WRs take awhile to develop.

In Jones case, I don't think it's about development, really. The more I think about it the more I think it's more about playing time - when he gets it, he's on the field with Jennings, Driver, Finley... you can't blame Aaron for looking their way first instead of Jones.

I'm reminded of Jones first year, when the first few games he had to fill in for an injured Greg Jennings. Frankly, I thought he held up pretty darn well, especially considering he was a rookie. You're right Zombie, he has deceptive speed, and very good hands.

And Dakota----

You made me laugh with the whole Patty thing. (Sorry, Joe-I know you two are "buds", but that was funny.)

Welcome Arrigo, I've always loved your rumors, no matter if you were full of shit on some of them or not

I was about to make a post saying something to the effect of, "Do any of these guy's so-called rumors actually come to fruition? What he labels 'rumors' strike me as little more than random barroom speculation."

Now that I see he's admitted a lot of it is pure smokescreen (which is what I suspected anyway), it all makes a lot more sense to me.
