Seahawks sign Ruvell Martin

The Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent wide receiver Ruvell Martin.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that Martin signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks.

Martin played eight games for the Rams in 2009 but caught only six passes for 99 yards. His best season came in 2006, when he caught 21 passes for 358 yards for the Packers.

Seahawks General Manager John Schneider worked in the Packers' front office during Martin's three seasons in Green Bay from 2006 to 2008.

ya I read that too rock ... thought he was decent ... funny in the NFL website still has martin with a GB jersey on

hope this turns into a longterm home for him. hes a good guy and it must suck to have to move all the time.

i have always loved to see him here in green bay, he's a serviceable guy with great attitude. unfortunately he wasn't able to secure his spot against great competition. i wish him all the best in seattle.
