What's the offseason without a little juice huh?

Don't you just love how happy players are until someone else gets paid... well I heard someone is a little upset now that another player is making more money than him.

Don't worry, I moved the thread into the Packers section instead of Website Information.

On to the good stuff ...

Woodson signed a seven year deal that could be worth up to 52 million.

2006 10.5
2007 and 2008 7.5 total for both years
2009 6,133,500 (updated)
2010 8.5?
2011 8.5?
2012 8.5?

He earned 18 million over the first three years, that leaves 34 million for the last four. I'm not sure how it's divided up, but I can't imagine it being too low.

Collins signed a one year tender for $3.3 million.

Unless you got some information on Collins contract we don't already know about ... I'm baffled. lol

They are working on deal that get him more than 6M this year... he's about to get paid.

Yep. I'm not sure how or why Charles would know about this, nor why he'd care. Seems odd to me as I am assuming his contract is loaded in the later years and he also wanted Collins to be paid so he stays on the team.

You've been right before, so I put a litte trust in what you said.

That a long-term deal for Collins is coming would make sense, as he suddenly signed his tender.

Woodson being the defensive MVP, the best DB on the roster and nearing the end of his career are all ingredients for one more big pay-day.

That makes it an easy target for creating a rumor, as well, though. It all makes so much sense.

We'll see what happens.

100% agree with this, although, it seems odd to me that Woodson would vouch for Collins to be paid, only to then hit the brakes so to speak and say 'hey wait a second I want to be paid more'.

I suppose that is what happens when you are throwing around millions of millions of dollars.

I'm really curious to see the last few years of Woodson's contract.

Fellas, there isn't a brawl happening... just was told what I posted. The one player won't see that 30M unless he can get them to change the terms of his deal and move it to bonus (IMO).

The tender is just that a tender... he won't play 2010 at 3M not with what Rolle is getting in NY. He will at least get what Rolle got and probably more for this coming year. This is of course me speculating.

Just a little light football discussion in March... nothing major.

And by the way... players talk to each other about their deals trust me he knows just what someone else gets and what everyone else in the league at his position makes. His agent is paid to know and tell him. That's part of negotiating and leverage.

I doubt Woodson would actually mind if Collins did get a good contract. Woodson is locked up for a couple of years and will eventually discuss his contract near the end. I just hope we win a SB before his contract expires. I love Woody and if he we're to leave I'd be sadder then the day BF left.
