But he offsets this by being relatively good in all other areas.
That's why I think that we really need that DE/OLB on the other side. Matthews is the kind of guy that you occasionally rush, but could function very well as a 4-3 OLB, as well, where he's asked to drop into coverage more etc. That's what makes his 10 sacks on the year even more impressive.
That said, he can do some work on his strength, bull rushing moves etc. If he can work on that, the sky's the limit for him. I don't think that he'll ever be comparable to Ware, but our guy on the other side might be.
