You revive him, I'm not going anywhere near the essence of Jack Daniels and stale Camels; and I am CPR certified annually. Of course I wouldn't mind hooking Vikesrule up to the defibulator. I might even remove that queer Viking necklace, but I'm not shaving him.

I'd defibulate Vikesrule whether he needs it or not.

We sign Cliffy. He plays 10 out of 16 games.

If the Packers give Clifton anything close to what Flozell Adams got, I'm not going to be a happy camper. Even the deal Pace got last year is pushing it imo.

I understand the need for a LT, but just becuase Clifton is the best FA LT doesn't mean Green Bay should go and WAY overspend to keep him, especially with his injury history. Take that money and target a younger RFA instead.

OK Clifton started what? 12 games last year.

Injury History? Last time I looked he started 138 out of 143 games for the Packers over a ten year career. Ten Years of commitment to the Green and Gold has to count for something.

How does a team over pay for that type of long term commitment. I would consider it a bonus, and have the confidence that he can get the job done and pay him for it.

If the Packers were willing to give 20 Million Dollars for a self centered soon to be traitor for a long term marketing deal when he retired for the second time... They can surley have confidence in a solid vet and pay Clifton so he can retire a Packer with a well earned ring.

I think Clifton's injuries are not going to continue on in 2010

It's surprising that Washington might be willing to pay seven million a year on a three year contract for Clifton. If that's the case. he's gone. I don't think GB can match that and they shouldn't. Clifton on a one year deal IMO was the way to go. Maybe two and I'd still draft a LT and have that player compete with Clifton. I wouldn't mind signing Clifton and if he loses the job in TC, releasing him in the find cut-down. However, that doesn't appear to be whats going to happen. Remember Marco Rivera? He did nothing in Dallas after he got his big contract. Very similar to whats occurring with Clifton.

That's a good point Porky. In fact, I can only think of 3 recent ex-Packers that have been pretty awesome since leaving: Favre, Sharper and Longwell.

Maybe Jon Ryan can be added to that list too. But there's a huge list of players we've since released or traded away in the past 5 years that haven't panned out. I'm pretty happy with the decision making of the Packers in retaining/trading players.

As I have said repeatedly, the Redskins are desperate for tackles, and no one should be the least bit surprised if Cliffy is a Redskin by this weekend.

Am I going to be pissed if that happens? I don't think so. Boy-wonder will have overpaid, massively, just as we would have had to do.

In some ways I HOPE he signs with the 'skins. With the influx of defensive line talent heading into this division, along with the sudden (surprise!) realization that we don't have a left tackle, maybe EVERYONE will wake up to the fact that this must be our priority one--by far---this off-season.

We all know about Cliffy's liabilities, and the skins will be getting largely used-up goods.

If he's gone, I really, really hope they look at a Jared Gaither offer.

Beyond that, we are going to have to delve into the luck department. We will have to get lucky in the draft, lucky in the progression of our existing personnel, and perhaps lucky with some other free agent.

How's our luck been so far in the offensive line department?

Actually, not that bad, when you consider how ugly it could have been.

I see ugly comin'. It's just me.
