Donald Lee was an awful blocker this last year.

The comments about Lee being a good blocker don't make much sense to me. When he first started coming on for the Packers it was said he's a good deep threat TE, but very poor blocking. I hadn't paid much attention, maybe he got better?

I haven't seen any improvements.
Blocking TEs are hard to come by these days. Pretty much all guys in college are used like we're using Finley. The ones who aren't as athletic and better blockers, seem to get turned into OTs pretty often.
Jason Peters and Charles Brown, for instance.
Lee had one fluke year in which he did pretty well. He was never a great TE, but got fed the ball pretty often by Favre, who loves TEs.
I'd love a blocking TE. Maybe that's what they're trying with Havner. It worked pretty well with Korey Hall.
Finley and Lee on the field at the same time is also pretty scary, though. Lee isn't great, but he's better than most nr. 2 TEs. This team can come out in so many formations and still be effective. It's pretty scary, really.
