Finland did a nice job beating Slovakia earlier today, after getting viciously raped by USA earlier. I hope you guys win the gold, Canadians can go suck it.

Whoever bashed Backstrom earlier was wrong, Kipper was the goalie for the first 4, including the super ugly first one. Backstrom played fine.

What's the reason behind Canada pulling their goalie with 18:00 left in the 2nd while being up 1 - 0?

Serious question, I don't watch this game too often.

on a penalty they don't blow the wistle till the penalized yeam touches it so you can pull your goalie to get a 6th player out there

Well I'm not here to gloat just to say what an awesome game for both countries. The USA has definately become a great hockey country. Here's to many more meetings with our neighbour. For the older people in this country Russia will always be the big hockey rival but for anyone under 30 it has become the US. I always feel bad for the loser in these games.

Congratulations to Canada. After all the money you spent over the past few years to ensure your hockey team was the best it could be, you needed this victory as a nation. I'm in fact not being sarcastic. Had Canada not taken home the gold, I would have felt bad for your nation, knowing how much you invested emotionally into this Olympics.

I echo your sentiment that I look forward to many meetings in the future.

I got to my niece's house in time for the OT. It was exciting. I too am glad for Canada. I would have hated to see ya'll with an identity crisis.
