I just don't see the importance of cheerleaders at a pro game. You pay to see the game, don't you? Plus, chances are, you are going to be too far away to really SEE them anyway. So what's the big deal?

Now.......true story.......one time i was at a pre season Packer game at Lambeau Field. They had the local cheerleaders cheering during a break. One of the girls was, well, rather large. Not your usual cheerleader looking type. Two guys in front of me were yelling nasty comments. And they went on and on and on. Without them knowing, i said to the people around me, "Watch this". Finally, i tapped the one on the shoulder and with a smile on my face said "The comments you are saying, are they about that big girl on the end?" Laughing, he said "Yeah!" So i turned my smile into a frown, got in his face and said, rather loudly, "That's my daughter."

Both of the guys and their dates about crapped thenselves!!! I let them stew for about a minute, then told them i was just joking. But they got the point, and never made another comment about the girl.

And I agree, its really no big deal. I just don't understand why some are so vehemently opposed to cheerleaders. They dance during timeouts. Its fun to watch. Thats all. They don't take anything away from the game.

i like my cheerleaders half-naked. when i see cheerleaders in cold venues with parkas on, it bothers me.

i understand you don't wanna freeze your tits off honey, but give me and my weiner a break.

You should pay your five bucks and come to the Alliant Center in Madison this weekend. Hundreds of half-naked cheerleaders swarming all over the place. 😃

I don't mind if there are cheerleaders there. If they want to do it, more power to them!
I just don't really care that much.
I don't think it adds OR detracts from the game.
Now, on a school level, i like it. The cheerleaders are part of the (i know saying it this way sounds dirty) student body. They are cheering cause they are part of the school. So to me, it means more.
Thats just my opinion of course.
