Cheerleaders were invented so that the miniskirt would never go completely out of fashion.

Go team!

I just don't see the importance of cheerleaders at a pro game. You pay to see the game, don't you? Plus, chances are, you are going to be too far away to really SEE them anyway. So what's the big deal?

Now.......true story.......one time i was at a pre season Packer game at Lambeau Field. They had the local cheerleaders cheering during a break. One of the girls was, well, rather large. Not your usual cheerleader looking type. Two guys in front of me were yelling nasty comments. And they went on and on and on. Without them knowing, i said to the people around me, "Watch this". Finally, i tapped the one on the shoulder and with a smile on my face said "The comments you are saying, are they about that big girl on the end?" Laughing, he said "Yeah!" So i turned my smile into a frown, got in his face and said, rather loudly, "That's my daughter."

Both of the guys and their dates about crapped thenselves!!! I let them stew for about a minute, then told them i was just joking. But they got the point, and never made another comment about the girl.

Too funny, Cheesey. :)

I love beautiful women and wouldn't mind us having cheerleaders but my biggest priority is seeing the Packers surpass everyone else in the number of Lombardi trophies.

Having cheerleaders is a nice addition, but I'm more concerned about our team being a perennial Playoff team. Here in the San Francisco area, we got the Niners and the Raiders.

The Raiders especially are known for having fantastic looking cheerleaders. They got an awesome Win/Loss record too.

Jsut for the record, We have cheerleaders.....every game, every week.

They are from St. Norberts and/or another college in the area. It is tradition.

Should we get a dome cuz other teams have one?

Should we get a mascot cuz other teams have one?

The are the GREEN BAY effin PACKERS!

We don't need no stinkin' cheerleaders!

besides, after the age of twenty one, GB girls have little chance fitting into the uniform.

And just for you Vikes, having grass is exactly why we DON'T have cheerleader. They would eat the turf.

You guys watch these girls kicking their legs around and think they're floozies. Until you've been to a real cheerleading competition, you have no idea what amazing athletes some of these girls are. These meets combine gymnastics, dancing, and stunting in awe-inspiring combination.

A bit off subject, but here's a good balance between scantily clad women and football.

Also, it's kind of embarrassing that I'm seeing better tackling in this video than in the NFL.

Just for the record the Giants don't have cheerleaders either. Some guys got busted holding fake auditions at a hotel a few years ago right next to Giants stadium. I still can't figure out what the point of that could be. I only know this because I used to live 1/2 a mile from Giants stadium and knew one of the arresting officers.
