I had to lookup Alnwick castle. I'm envious. People live there.

But if you ever get a chance to get to Alnick, it is one of the coolest castles in England. (I can't remember, it also may be the one farthest north in England.) It is -- well, parts of it anyway, are almost always open to the public. I don't know the Duke of Northumberland personally, so I didn't get to see anything special. (Wish I did, he's like the third richest person in the UK.)
Alnick also has one of the best used bookshops in the world. (This is one reason Britain is worth keeping: every little town still has cool used bookshops.)
