Jets | Faneca owed hefty bonus in February

Dave Hutchinson, of The Star-Ledger, reports New York Jets OG Alan Faneca is due a $7.5 million bonus if he is on the roster on Friday, Feb. 12. It is uncertain if the Jets will pay the bonus.

The New York Post reports New York Jets SS Kerry Rhodes said he wants to stay with the Jets but could ask for a trade during the offseason.

I might give Faneca a look, even though I think he's declined enough to say "no," on the leave-absolutely-no-OL-stone-unturned theory.

Rhodes -- no. IMO the Colts are in the SuperBowl because NY has just one above-average DB, and his name is not Rhodes.

Rhodes is a great player no doubt, but he is an inconsistent tackler at times, and that's exactly what we DON'T need.

We don't need a guard, we need tackles and we already have enough safties who struggle in coverage. BTW Jets don't have only one above average CB, they have the best CB in the league.
