More like an Ahman Green clone. Dominate when he's playing well, but fumbles way too much. We'll see if he rebounds and gets back to his 07/08 form, but its looking like he is closer to someone like Ahman Green than he is to someone like Walter Payton.

Walter Payton ran around like Ed Reed does half the time. He had his fair share of fumbles.

Peterson and Green where both good. His fumbling isn't what made him "bad" in my eyes, it's the collapse at the end of the season where he played like a 32 year old.

Although, as of late, his fumbling has gotten way out of hand. It's as bad as Crosby's field goal kicking halfway through the season.

Depends on how Peterson rebounds from this year. He's still young and nobody plows people like he does.

He's definitely not the best RB ever. If he continued the way he played in 2007, then I would stand by that statement.

I still wouldn't trade him (unless a team gave up a dynasty's worth of draft picks, a la Hershell Walker).

He's like Ahman Green at Ahman's worst, fumble-wise. Green had 37 fumbles in 12 seasons. Peterson has 20 fumbles in 3 seasons.

at the moment i wouldn't even put him in the same company as those guys. not cuz he's a queen but he's got alot more playing & proving to do.

Have you all forgotten about Jim Brown?

Please never mention Emmitt Smith again! It is a sin he took Walters record!

Of course he's not the greatest RB ever - Payton is, followed VERY closely by Sanders, Brown, and many others. He doesn't have the body of work to be even jokingly considered with that group yet. He sure as hell has the potential to be, though.

BUT: Sweetness fumbled, y'all - I grew up in Rockford, IL and I watched his every move like a hawk, because he was (and still is) my hero. He fumbled, and much of the time he fumbled trying to do a little too much, just like Peterson does. Another all-time great, Gayle Sayers, put the ball on the ground a little bit, himself. Any player, given enough touches, will commit turnovers - strangely enough, QBs seem to get more of a "oh, shucks - that's just how it goes" treatment than RBs do.

I'm tempted to think that the Vikes have botched it with this kid - at least this year. One, they went along with his foolhardy weight gain plan, and that's taken a gear off his speed - not a big one, but this year he's getting caught where he would previously outrun everyone. Two, his fumbles have been so harped on that you have to think it's in his head now, and that's the worst possible result - you think too much out there and you're dead.

Still, if you folks in Minnesota don't want to deal with the fumbles, I know a team that'd happily take this "problem" off your hands.

Fumbleson isnt even the best on his team. Probably 5 Minn rb's in history i'd take before him. Best ever? At what? Butterfingering away the bears game and the nfc championship game? No matter what he does the rest of his career, i will remember this game. Kind of like that great tight end, Jackie Smith i believe who is more known for his drop in the end zone than his great career.

I'd put them Brown, Payton, then Sanders. Peterson needs to prove he can keep doing it or he will just be another talented flash in the pan.

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : They got 118 slapped in there.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
