I would really like to see the Packers go back to the old Flanker T formation - Split Backs instead of the I Formation. I mean the Taylor/Hornung thing, the Grabowski/Anderson thing, Csonka/Kiick, etc. I guess the justification for the I is having basically a non-runner FB to lead block, but it's my contention that most RBs could do the job. Also, split backs should open up a wider variety of outside running plays. Also, logically having two RBs should better serve to pass block free rushers and/or provide outlet receivers. Who can better block an outside pass rusher, a FB in the I or an RB offset to the side of the pass rush? And who would you rather see catch a safety valve pass, Kuhn or Lacy/Franklin/Harris?

You are right. It is not going to happen. It would be fun to watch them run this a half dozen times a game.

They run those formations. Sometimes they line a TE up as an H-back. I guarantee we will see Lacy and Franklin in the backfield together.

I hope so, and I wish it would be more than just a rare thing - and I REALLY hate the thought that some promote of Lacy being relegated to a fullback role in the I.

I don't really care what they run as long as it works well.
